There are little gold sparkles all over everywhere. Why? Because I was a sparkly butterfly, opps I mean ladybug today. I just could not seem to get it straight ... I guess that is because I really am a butterfly at heart and to pretend to be any other briliant little flying creature is nothing but a lie : )
How much fun I had today peaking around corners with my rosy, freckled checks, blonde hair and antenas making people giggle and smile. Meeting with kids who could not stop lauging when they looked at me. Smiling at strangers that could not keep their normally indifferent and long faces from lighting up. I really was wondering today why we can't connect with strangers like that more. I am going to try and smile at people I don't know more often. I used to do it a lot. I used to be the person that people were always asking "Do you know that person?", "No I just smiled at them." I don't know what changed. Did I just get busier, more preoccupied, jaded?
I have to keep dressed up to go volunteer at the Y's Boofest ... and to be honest I am counting down the hours. My wings keep on getting stuck in doors, I can barely see where I am going with this wig, and I have already had to cut my keys and a wreath out of my blond locks. So worth it though. I can't wait to see all the kids dressed up tonight!
Also can't wait to share about my weekend away in Banff at the spa with Norm. Hopefully I will have a minute tonight!
