Pronounced Banffffffffffffffth. No blogs and then multiple blogs ... what is going on you are asking yourself? I am a little sick and have spent most of the day in the fetal position holding my stomach. Feeling better tonight though. Okay with that out of the way let me tell you about my last, last weekend because it is worth the belated entry.
Norma took me to the spa at the Banff Springs in Banfffffffth. This is the nicest (and second)spa I have been to. Really just being in the Banff Springs is enough to make it pretty wonderful. That place truly is a palace in the mountains ... one almost feels like a princess. A little side note ... my friend and old roomie Linda always calls me princess but notified me today that due to the expected arrival of her first grandchild I would be loosing my title. Unacceptable is what I cried ... I am not unreasonable and have no problem sharing that title, but come on to strip me of it all together is just plain insanity. No? That is right I knew you would all have my back. And so Linda's princess I will remain!
So at this spa which just received a 2.3 million dollar face-lift there are these waterfalls. There are three and they each fall into a pool that you are to spend five minutes in each. The first pool is hot, the second warm, and the last freaking cold. You are then to spend fifteen minutes in the body temperature mineral pool. This whole area is dressed with windows overlooking the valley and the beauty. So in we go ... and out come the giggles. I understood with every ounce of understanding that this was meant to be relaxing and that I should really take off my humor goggles. But goggles you did need. The waterfall was so intense and the pool so small that you could not avoid getting splashed in the face. And these splashes where intense. I swear that I was not the only one ... everyone, although really trying, was covering their face, or turning their heads. And then what is with the idea of progressively going into colder and colder water. I could not help but laugh and laugh hard. Norma did not even last a minute in the cold one. But as we know in certain things I am a sucker for rules and hugged my legs and shivered for the recommended five minutes. In all honesty the experience on our second time through was much more relaxing. But the mineral pool was absolutely lovely, as was the outdoor hot tub, and the steam room, and the whirlpool, and the fluffy white robes, and the endless clean fluffy white towels. And curling up in a blanket with a tea and a magazine awaiting our masseuses. The massages were amazing, and we both left feeling relaxed and refreshed. I could seriously do that everyday. You may say that I would get used to it and it would not be as wonderful ... but I say you don't know and you are wrong.
After the spa we went to the Griz for a hot-stone fondue ... yummmmmmy. By the time we got home to our beautiful hotel the Rimrock my heart was more peaceful and content than it had been in a long time. And there was a stuffed bear with chocolates on our bedside table ... and yes I ate some. I know, i know ... Norma stood there with her jaw dropped and her lip tweaked up in disgust.
And to top things off when I opened the blinds in the morning it was to a winter wonder land. We walked around Banff, I got that great white hat and home we headed.
The only sad part was that driving through a blizzard on icy roads infused all the tension those crazy waterfalls had splashed out of my body.
Again I felt so blessed to be treated and loved.
Thanks Normie.

- I am doing my best to find the good things in my life and cherish them. I love deeply. I laugh hard (so hard I sometimes snort). I still dream and believe that dreams are meant to be followed. I try to depend on God. I have so much to learn. I hope.

There is absolutely NO transfer of Royal Titles. None. The only thing you can do is move UP due to death or abdication. Do let Dame Linda know! You can be OP --Original Princess--or you can be Princess Heather and the other can be Baby Princess, etc. etc. but there is no loss of title. Unacceptable!
And THAT'S comin' from THE QUEEN!!!
