I was once the worst speller EVER ... ask my sister who corrected all my essays. I have gotten much better, but spelling bees still give me anxiety. When I was in grade two my teacher gave me my own name to spell so that I could experience some success and a little self esteem boost. I was so excited. I took a deep breath and with my head held high let-er-spell H...E...T...H...E...R yep. Don gon andd speled me nami al wronng. Oh the humiliation.
