Red flowers watching dancing snow...

I love how flowers maneuver their little green bodies so that their faces can soak up as much sun as they can. I especially love how that makes the little red flowers in my kitchen window sill look like they are twisting and turning to get a better view of the dancing snowflakes out our window (yes I am allowed to say "our" without being loopy because plants are indeed alive ... and therefor I do not live alone ... hehehe the things we do in our minds to make life a little easier). It is a deliciously quite sunday morning and the snow is once again dressing our sleepy city. But this morning it is not so much falling as it is dancing ... waltzing I would have to say ... smooth, gliding, swirling waltzing. Defying gravity, dancing up and around. Making my heart calm and peaceful.
Also making it very difficult to motivate myself to leave my cocoon.
My little Tayah-bear is having her third birthday party today. I am finally understanding what people would share about the speed that life passes by. I remember the day that Kirst told me she was pregnant. I was waiting for my relater to show up at the condo that ended up becoming my home. It was a beautiful day and I was resting against my car taking in the sun. Kirst and Jason had not been married for too long at all and it was a surprise. The thing that sticks out in my mind was that even though I was hearing shock, she had somehow already made it to the store to pick up magazines on parenting!?! That is so Kirstyn. Like how the track for the song she will be singing at Krista's wedding at the end of June was playing over and over when I stopped by for lunch this week. Tayah is so lucky to have Kirst as a mom. Her parties will always be well planned with special detailed touches that only come with much thought and love. Like having the Spanish words for utensils at her Dora themed fiesta (my Spanish is paying off ... okay I had to find the words. FYI: fork- tenedor, knife - cuchillo, spoon - cuchara. Now we had to scratch our heads about that. It does not make sense that spoon and knife are so similar and the word for fork is like the child that looks like the milkman. Really you are more likely to ask someone if they would like a knife and fork. And as Kirst pointed out the spoon and the fork serve more similar purposes. Hmmm now you are wondering why!)
Well it is time to crawl out of the softest blanket in the world, the coziest hoody, and most delectable sweatpants and go party with Tayah and Dora.

I am doing my best to find the good things in my life and cherish them. I love deeply. I laugh hard (so hard I sometimes snort). I still dream and believe that dreams are meant to be followed. I try to depend on God. I have so much to learn. I hope.
